Let’s assume that art making is natural and means nothing, and the just intuitive device is deployed. There were never critics or revolution or learning or history, but only lurking sheepishly in the same room. And likewise, we are all dumbfounded by the media and in fact enamored or in love with the thing. One time we saw on TV the scene from Richard Farina’s Been down so Long it looks like up to me, which is the greatest fiction that has every been written and for some reason there are limited copies and a crappy movie to fulfill its legacy,

At the climax of the novel, Gnosos, our protagonist, finds himself carried away in a crowd at a protest that has a stage on top of which his nemesis speaks. He has the attention of his opposite, and there has been quite a conspiracy. As he is carried away, he points at his malefactor and yells “Vendata!” with a righteousness that I can’t seem to find today.
